These terms explain how bookings with Big Table work: what we agree to deliver, what we need from you, and what happens if plans change.
1. Bookings and deposits
A booking is confirmed when you accept our written quote and pay a 25% deposit. The quote sets out the menu, service, staff and rentals we have agreed. Dates are not held until the deposit is paid.
2. Final numbers and changes
Tell us your final guest numbers and dietary needs 14 days before the event. After that we can usually add guests, but we cannot reduce the number we charge for. Menu changes are free up to 14 days before.
3. Payment
The balance is due 7 days before your event. We accept bank transfer and all major cards. Extra costs agreed on the day, such as added hours or bar tabs, are invoiced afterwards and due within 14 days.
4. Cancellations
If you cancel more than 60 days before the event, we refund your deposit. Between 60 and 14 days, the deposit is kept. Inside 14 days, the full quoted amount is due. If we have to cancel, you get a full refund.
5. Allergies and food safety
We label the nine major allergens and adapt dishes on request, but our kitchen handles nuts, gluten and other allergens, so we cannot promise any dish is completely free of them.
6. Liability
We carry general and product liability insurance. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by things outside our control, such as severe weather, venue closures or power cuts.
